Story by Ralph Palumbo
PRS Custom 24
The guitar that Paul Reed Smith dubs 'The One That Started It All', is looking and sounding amazing for 2021. It made it’s debut at Winter Namm 1985, and has climbed to the top of the guitar chain throughout the years. Paul created a new body shape, and it worked, now it’s one of the most recognizable guitars in the world, and it seems like these days, everyone is playing a PRS.
The guitar features a carved figured maple top, mahogany back, 25” scale length (which sits between a Les Paul & Stratocaster), rosewood headstock veneer with inlaid signature, 85/15 treble & bass pickups, PRS Gen 3 Tremolo, PRS Phase 3 locking tuners, nickel hardware, volume & tone controls with 5 way switch, nickel hardware, 24 fret mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and of course Paul’s signature bird inlays.
Throw in a hardshell case and this incredible instrument is priced at $3,850 USD
