Hayley Williams announces her first solo tour

The Petals for Armor tour starts in Amsterdam on May 13, and comes to the U.S. on May 28 at the Moore Theatre in Seattle. It then travels down the west coast and makes a stop at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. She hits 13 cities before ending in her neck of the woods at the Brooklyn Bowl, Nashville TN.

Warming the stage for Williams on the European leg will be The Ninth Wave. Arlo Parks will open the U.S. dates.

“Wow. I am going on tour. Myself. It’s not Paramore and truthfully, it’s a little terrifying.” She said in a statement. “But if I know anything, it’s that there’s no safer place (besides at home with my dog) the in a room, in front of the people who’ve grown up singing my lints out for. There was a time I thought I wouldn’t tour Petals for Armor. What a joke. I must.”

“The first run of my shows is going to be hot, sweaty, and intimate, “Williams explained. “My brand-newly-formed band and I will be playing rooms that Paramore outgrew a decade ago. It’s going to be satisfying to feel the energy of a crowd that close again, especially while performing songs that feel so vital for me; songs I have never performed before for an audience.”
